2007 Audi TT Unveiled Early

2007 Audi TT
Unwilling to wait for the New York International Auto Show, which is lightly attended by the European press, Audi jumped the gun and unveiled the 2007 TT in Berlin on Thursday. Coming six years after the first TT was launched, the new model is longer and wider by a considerable margin. TheCarConnection reports "a sharp sheetmetal makeover, which removes the Deco lines and replaces them with bolder forms that hint at the Nissan 350Z, which was itself inspired by the original TT, according to its designer Ajay Panchal." Steel and aluminum are combined for optimal weight distribution. Engine options include a 200 hp turbo four with FWD, and a 250 hp V-6 with Quattro. Both come with a 6-speed manuallinks or Audi's sensational S-tronic auto.
