Who wouldn't want a car that when faced with the stressful perils of a traffic induced wait can instantly rise above it all in the form of a helicopter? Well, Dutch inventor/entrepreneur John Bakker has had this very idea on his design board for years. And according to his Netherlands-based firm - Spark Design - his dream may just be cleared for take off.
Top Gear reports that the gyrocopter/trike that will have a maximum on-road and airborne velocity of 125 mph with a range of 340 miles may see production for public sale in two years time. We should note that their report, "The Flying Dutchman," was ladened with skepticism.
"No prices have yet been announced for the PAL-V, but its Dutch builder reckons it should be on sale within the next two years. At which point, presumably, pigs
will fly. With an accompanying farmer, of course."I, for one, hope PAL-V does fly.
