While you guys were busy watching Super Bowl commercials, I was equally busy during game breaks watching European car ads.
I think this commercial for the European Ford Focus beats anything you saw last night.
An orchestra made up of instruments built with Focus parts including a "clutch guitar" and "window harp
." How cool!
Ford's new ad will run across 25 European markets with the tagline "The new Ford Focus. Beautifully arranged."
Ford Europe's new campaign is the latest step in the company's drive to raise the quality of its advertising to reflect a new "kinetic design" engineering ethos.
"The campaign is linked to the idea of feel the difference," said Mark Ovenden, the marketing director at Ford of Britain.
"We want to portray a message beyond showing a car driving along a piece of road. Like a great piece of music the Ford Focus is more than the sum of its parts."
Ford's campaign includes 60-, 40- and 30-second versions of the TV clip as well as newspaper, magazine and radio ads.
