GM Tallies Mixed Sales Figures For November

Despite reporting three consecutive months of sales growth - which stood as a breath of fresh air for those concerned about the General's welfare - GM's overall sales slid sharply in November.
GM's PR people chalked the losses up to "reductions in daily rental sales and softening industry demand." Overall US sales did, in fact, slip by 11% from November of last year. And needless to say, GM's sales position one year ago was anything but strong.
Still, there are some silver linings to these fiscal storm clouds. The popular new Chevy Malibu has boosted the nameplate's sales figures. Malibu sales are up by 40%. Similar good news over at Cadillac with sales of the new CTS up by 48%.
