Porsche May Need to Call 911

One of Tata's first orders of business, should they acquire Jaguar, is to rush to the production line to produce an F Type two seat sports car, a coupe version of the XF sedan.

Created to go head to head with the Porsche 911, the car could be the elixir that Jag needs to grab a chunk of the higher end sports car enthusiasts.

The potential high-powered coupe would likely, as mentioned, take on the F-Type moniker and will use a shortened version of the XJ all-aluminum chassis. This would help to keep the weight down and therefore could help to increase performance of the luxury sports car.

This new car is reportedly a "top priority" for Jaguar.
