The super rich are buying more Rolls-Royces than ever, if current sales numbers prove correct.
According to the BMW Group (BMW owns Rolls-Royce), Goodwood delivered 82 cars adorned by the Spirit of Ecstasy in August; that's up by 20 cars or 32% from August one year ago.
Overall, the marque has delivered 459 automobiles so far this year; again up by more than 59 cars or 14.8%.
While BMW's P.R. department did not specify the reasons for Rolls' sales increase, the July introduction of the Phantom Drophead Coupé (starting at $412,000 each) is likely to have played a significant part.
