RSX Gone, Possibly Forever

Acura RSX
For some time now, I've been wondering what Acura would do with its RSX coupe. The new Civic coupe is similar in shape, yet takes the design a full generation forward. A blog in Leftlane News has the answer: The RSX is being pulled from the Acura lineup, at least for 2007. Honda says it is "streamlining our product offering to better fit with Acura's evolving and more upscale image." In plainer words, the sport compact market is no longer where Acura wants to playlinks. Indeed, it may not want to play in the coupe market at all, with both the CL and RSX out of the way. Watch for future Acura concepts as a guide to possible replacements.
