Toyota World Leader in Auto Sales?

For the first time in 75 years a company besides General Motors (GM) may be taking the lead in the world auto market. It's not that sales are down at GM, but sales are way up at Toyota, surpassing GM by some 88,000 sales. Asia and Europe markets are probably the main reason for Toyota's surge in sales.
GM said it posted record sales (+8%) in three of its four regions, but a 10 percent drop in North America pulled down the overall numbers. On a personal note, I absolutely love Toyota trucks. I currently drive a GMC 2500 HD DD 4x4 because the trailer I to tow is too big for the biggest Toyota. I really like the GMC, but if I'd have known diesel prices were going to go so far up I wouldn't have bought it.
