Video > Zil Over Hill & Dale

Filed in archive by Gunnar Heinrich on January 17, 2007

In Soviet Russia, you don't drive Zil, Zil ...blast...

Stuck in the bog of writer's block.

But, to be sure, the ancient slab of pig-iron from the USSR featured in this (2:53) video won't get stuck in anything. In fact, the driver of this steely mammoth once used by the Red Army takes this six wheeler over hill and dale, and through the muddiest trenches that you just know would swallow your neighbor's cherry-red H3 whole.

Paleontologists would discover him and his Humvee centuries from now, fossilized and likely use this Zil to pull 'em out of the bedrock they fusedlinks into.

Watch.
