What is it with VW and corporate in-fighting?
The massive German conglomerate that's partly owned by Porsche cannot seem to agree with itself (and neither can its many divisions). From Bentley and Lamborghini attacking Bugatti to Porsche attacking Volkswagen, it seems that these are troubled times for "The People's Car" company.
Further, the company seems adept at producing redundant model ranges - VW Passat / Audi A4; VW Phaeton / Audi A8; audi r8
/ Lamborghini Gallardo and so on. The corporate brawls are set to continue as VW sources a powerplant in the upcoming Artega GT that's set to battle Porsche's signature 911. The sportscar sports "Porsche equalling performance" according to UK car magazine AutoExpress with a 300 horsepower V-6 that launches the car from nothing to sixty in five short seconds. It even looks like a 911.
And here's the real kicker - the Artega GT is rear engined.
It's probably best for Porsche staff and VW execs to stay clear of Chief Wiedeking's office these days.
