Salomon (not to be confused with David's son) est. in the year of our lord nineteen hundred forty-seven, is a French winter sports equipment company.

Saab has teamed up with Salomon to promote their "partnership programs". These are competitive athletic events held around the globe which include, but are not limited to, the Saab Crossmax (downhill ski) series, X-Adventure (trek) series, and the Adrenaline Tour (for skiiers, mountain climbers, kaykers, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera).

What's innit for the Swedes you might wonder?

Marketing & brand promotion. Saab's party faithful are devotees of the alternative lifestyle, the third-way, and the avantegarde - even though the current 9-3 is blandly mainstream. These wild and woolly events speak strongly to that lifestyle (image).
