Can you afford it? It is is super important to make sure that you are going to be able to make the payments on your new car. Payments for new cars can get extremely high. If you can't afford the payment you face repossession of the car and loss of credit status. This is something you definitely want to avoid.

Is there enough room? Always try the car out and make sure there will be enough room for you and your family. Remember that you will likely be paying on this car for a while, so think into the future as well.

Pay as much as you can each month If you can afford to pay the car off in two years do it. Extending a car loan for five or six years adds thousands and thousands of dollars to the final price of the car.
